Residents of The Nations neighborhood are holding a community meeting this Thursday (July 1) at the West Nash United Methodist Church regarding a proposed rezoning of residential property at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Georgia Avenue. The rezoning would permit heavy industrial use in order to allow expansion of an industrial facility. The meeting will be held at 7pm on July 1st in the Fellowship Hall at the West Nashville United Methodist Church at 4710 Charlotte Pike (http://www.westnashvilleumc.org). More information is available at http://43rdrezoning.org/.
This meeting will obviously interest members of the Nations neighborhood in West Nashville, but is open to anyone in the larger Nashville community who has an interest in this issue. There will be printed copies of a petition opposing the rezoning that people can sign at the meeting.
As many of you are aware, SPNA members voted unanimously this spring to oppose this rezoning.
Please forward this information to anyone you think might be interested, and help spread the word.
