The Sylvan Park Neighborhood Association (SPNA) is the collective community voice for addressing neighborhood issues such as zoning and development, traffic calming, safety, and neighborhood beautification.

SPNA meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Cohn School (Senior Renaissance Center). Email spna@sylvanpark.org for details.

Charlotte Avenue-Richland Park Corridor Meeting Tuesday (Feb. 12)

The second of several public meetings designed to seek input regarding the Charlotte Avenue/Richland Park Detailed Corridor Design Plan is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public, and it will be held at Breen Hall in St. Ann Catholic Church's Parish Life Center (5101 Charlotte Avenue).

The Metro Planning Commission has prepared a PDF document with more information about the project.

    In cooperation with the Metropolitan Planning Department, iQ tv10, only on Comcast, will present a series of Televised Community Meetings which will create a plan for future growth and development, outlining appropriate land use and urban design that complements and enhances the character of the Charlotte Avenue/Richland Park Corridor.

    The programs will be presented:

    Sundays at 4 p.m.
    Tuesdays at 11 a.m.
    Thursdays at 5 p.m.
    Saturdays at 11 a.m.

    All programs will be seen on iQ tv10: A service of the Metropolitan Educational Access Corporation.
