There are contested races in Districts 1, 3, 7, and 9. District 5 Board Member Gracie Porter is unopposed. The elections will be held on August 7. The Metro School Board Forum will be open to the public and the news media. There will be a Q&A session with the opportunity for attendees to ask the candidates questions.

School Board Candidate Forum May 21
The Nashville Neighborhood Defense Fund will hold a forum and endorsement meeting for candidates for the 2008 Metro School Board elections on Wednesday, May 21. The forum will begin at 6 p.m. in the Education Building 636 Farrell Parkway)
