The Sylvan Park Neighborhood Association (SPNA) is the collective community voice for addressing neighborhood issues such as zoning and development, traffic calming, safety, and neighborhood beautification.

SPNA meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Cohn School (Senior Renaissance Center). Email spna@sylvanpark.org for details.

RCWA to hold workshops next week (Feb. 23 and 25)

The Richland Creek Watershed Alliance will hold seasonal workshops on Monday, Feb. 23, and Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the Cohn Adult Learning Center (4805 Park Avenue).
Rain Barrel Workshop: February 23rd from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A Rain Barrel for Your Garden. One lucky participant will go home with an adapted rain barrel as a door prize; all will learn how to make their own. Multiple adaptations to barrels presented and tips shared to make your barrel useful and efficient.

Rain Garden Workshop - February 25th from 6 to 8 p.m. Pre-registrants take home Patty Ghertner's rain garden handbook, filled with how-to illustrations and photographs of native plants.
