The Sylvan Park Neighborhood Association (SPNA) is the collective community voice for addressing neighborhood issues such as zoning and development, traffic calming, safety, and neighborhood beautification.

SPNA meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Cohn School (Senior Renaissance Center). Email spna@sylvanpark.org for details.

SPNA yard sale Saturday (May 10)

The annual SPNA yard sale will take place this Saturday (May 10) at 8 a.m. To sign up, send an email to margaretholleman@yahoo.com. For the bargain price of $15 for members and $30 for non-members (the latter of which includes SPNA membership), SPNA will provide:

Pre-sale:

  • Bright balloons on mailbox to identify your sale.
  • Maps with specific addresses of special items as provided by participants.
  • A large ad in The Tennessean on Fri and Sat publicizing the sale and indicating where customers may obtain maps.


Post-sale (if you choose to donate items):

  • SPNA will arrange for a charity to pick up leftover items (SPNA cannot be responsible for items not picked up)
  • Place all salable items (no trash) at the street in an orderly fashion
  • SPNA will have donation receipts for households that would like one.
