The Sylvan Park Neighborhood Association (SPNA) is the collective community voice for addressing neighborhood issues such as zoning and development, traffic calming, safety, and neighborhood beautification.

SPNA meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Cohn School (Senior Renaissance Center). Email spna@sylvanpark.org for details.

Metro Animal Control expands pet adoption hours

From the Metro Public Health Department:

The Metro Public Health Department's Animal Control facility will be open longer for adoptions on Saturdays starting today, when animals will be available for adoption from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., except holidays when Animal Control is closed. Previously, the facility's adoptions hours were from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Metro's Animal Control facility's office hours on Saturdays are from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. for those seeking to find a lost pet and for animal drop off.

The Metro Animal Control Facility is located at 5125 Harding Place. The facility's phone number is (615) 862-7928.

What follows are the hours of operation for Metro Animal Control:
