NES to begin tree trimming soon
Nashville Electric Service has begun issuing automated phone calls announcing that its survey process is complete and that tree trimming is scheduled to begin in Sylvan Park soon. Details on which areas of the neighborhood are not provided during the call, but neighbors with questions are encouraged to call (615) 695-7400. NES maintains a Tree Trimming section on its Web site as well.

What is going on with this? It seems NES has cut / chopped/ butchered trees in Sylvan Park every year since I moved here. Is there a kick back going to NES from the Tree trimming companies? Would not placing the lines under ground the be cheaper option in the long run, 10, 20 years. Can the councilman from our district meet with the one who is proposing the changes on Gallatin Road, rumor is there is a plan to move the lines underground in that area.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good question and a good idea, John. Send an email to John Summers here. Look for John under District 24 on the drop-down list. (Council members names are sorted by district number.)
